The
Aikido come to Myanmar in arround 1951 with Aritomo Murashige
Sensei and Sengo Yamaguchi Sensei which were sent by Hombu
(Japan Aikikai) officially. The honourable two Sensei
were teach Aikido in Myanmar U Thaung Din learn the Aikido
from the both of Sensei.
In
1955, U Thaung Din sensei found the Burma Aikikai (Now
Myanmar Aikikai) at Residence 11 A, Shan Road, Sanchaung
Township, Yangon.
On
5.12.1996, U Thaung Din (The father of Myanmar Aikikai)
passes away. According to the U Thaung Din sensei’
s will, U Mya Sein is the Chief instructor and continue
manage to the Myanmar Aikikai.
2005,
We are wormely wellcome to the Golden jubilee of Myanmar
Aikikai. We are very proud for the Myanmar Aikikai which
is the first international Aikikai after the Japan Aikikai.
So, we won’t be never forget the gratitude of 0
Sensei, Murashige Sensei, Yamaguchi Sensei and U Thaung
Din Sensei.
